Hi there,
The people at Easy ESL Games were so kind to pick up on my expanded version of "Concentration" a.k.a. "Super Memory Game".
In this video the past tense is practiced, using Tom and Mary as the subjects. On top of that, additional information is added so the student has to use the same verb in various shapes and forms.
One other possibility would be to use "you" as the subject for every card and assign different verb tenses to each color. (as opposed to different names for each color)
For more ideas, please take a look at Getting the Most Out of Memory Game (and your students) or Memory Game and the Color Codes.

For those who are not familiar with Easy ESL Games, they have a fantastic selection of ESL games (and still growing) on You Tube and an even more impressive website with games, songs and printables for the English classroom. Definitely a place to check out....
