Hi there!
Everybody loves playing board games, and so do your students...
Here is an easy way to turn "Let's Make Questions!" into a board game for all levels....
Select the cards you want to practice, lay them out on the table, get your dice ready and you're all set to go!
Are dice giving you problems? Use the good old "Janken" instead for a fun filled, but fruitful lesson.....
Janken
The easiest way (but not always for the teacher) is letting the students play against YOU....
You win...... the student moves one space (one card)
You lose..... the student moves 2 spaces (but must use the target language on both cards)
Looking to speed things up?
You win...... the student moves one space (one card)
Draw ......... the student moves 2 spaces.
You lose..... the student moves 3 spaces.
That will speed things up....
In the following video three 2nd grade elementary school students use the color codes:
Orange cards : Are you .... ?
Green cards : Do you like .... ?
Purple cards : Can you .... ?
The question patterns are written on the whiteboard, not the answers. They have to decide those for themselves.....
Well, that's it for today and if you have any thought or ideas on how to use LMQ in the classroom, feel free to leave a comment below.
If you are looking for more ideas/games to use with your students, be sure to check out the Thinking World Game Page.
Thanks and till next time!
